Make settings related to SMB.
Note
Select whether SMB is active or inactive for the interface board.
Displays [IPv4] as the transport protocol used by SMB.
Note
Enter the name of the workgroup the interface board belongs to.
The default is WORKGROUP.
Up to 15 characters (excluding " * + , / : ; < = > ? [ \ ] | . and spaces) can be entered.
Enter the name for identifying the device when using SMB.
The default is RNP, followed by the last three bytes of the MAC address of the network interface board or 802.11b interface unit.
For example, if the MAC address is 00:00:74:62:5C:65, the name is RNP625C65.
Up to 15 characters (excluding " * + , / : ; < = % > ? [ \ ] | . and spaces) can be entered.
If you change the name other than the default, you cannot begin the new name with "RNP".
Assign a name that does not belong to other devices in the network.
Enter the comment set for the interface board. Up to 31 characters can be entered. This is the same item as the [Comment] box on the [Configuration] - [Device Settings] - [System] page.
Displays the model name of the printer to which the interface board is installed.
Select [Active] to receive notification of print completion. For Windows 95/98/Me, to receive completion notification, execute WINPOPUP.EXE in the [Windows] folder to start the Popup Service.
