PDF Fixed Password
Configuration > Printer > PDF Fixed Password

Use this page to set a password for secure PDF printing. Only Administrator can set a password, so that only users who know the password can print the PDF with the data encrypted.

Note

• The PDF Temporary Password cannot be set if a PDF Fixed Password is already set.
• The PDF Fixed Password can be set by the following Administrators and Users:
  • Machine Administrator
  • Logged-on Users
    User authentication is enabled on the device and Users are permitted to make changes to Administrator's setting items.
• The PDF Fixed Password set from the Web browser is the same as the PDF password set on the printer control panel.

Current PDF Fixed Password

Enter the current PDF Fixed Password using alphanumeric characters.

Note

• Users have to enter the current PDF Fixed Password.
  When you are logged on as Machine Administrator, the [Current PDF Fixed Password] box does not appear.

New PDF Fixed Password

Enter a fixed password for PDF printing. Use up to 32 alphanumeric characters.

Confirm Password

Enter the same password again in the confirmation box.
The password entered here must be the same as the one entered earlier in the [New PDF Fixed Password] box, otherwise it cannot be set.
