File Transfer
Configuration > Device Settings > File Transfer

Set the default user name and password for file transfer, for each protocol.

Default User Name/Password (Send)

SMB User Name

Enter the default user name for file transfer via SMB. You can enter up to 64 characters.

SMB Password

Click [Change] to set or change the password for the user selected in the [SMB User Name] box. When the [Change SMB Password] page appears, enter the password.

FTP User Name

Enter the default user name for file transfer via FTP. You can enter up to 64 characters.

FTP Password

Click [Change] to set or change the password for the user selected in the [FTP User Name] box. When the [Change FTP Password] page appears, enter the password.

NCP User Name

When using NCP, you can set user names using "SHIFT-JIS" or "EUC JP" double-byte characters; or for the following languages "ISO-8859-1" single-byte characters:
Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish

NCP Password

Set or change your user name set in [NCP User Name] by clicking the [Change] button. When the [Change NCP Password] page appears, enter the password you want to set.
