Make settings for device name, output tray, priority tray, cover sheet tray, and Designation Sheet Tray.
Note
- Settings on this page can be changed by the following Administrators and Users:
- Network Administrator (Device Name, Comment, and Location)
- Machine Administrator (Spool Printing, Protect Printer Display Panel, Print Priority, Permit Firmware Update, Display IP Address on Device Display Panel, and tray settings)
- Logged-on Users (all items except Protect Printer Operation Panel), provided that:
User authentication is enabled on the device and Users are permitted to make changes to Administrator's setting items.
General Settings
Device Name
Enter the device name, using up to 31 characters.
Note
- The device name is different from the host name entered in the [Host Name] box on the [Configuration: Network: IPv4] or [Configuration: Network: IPv6] page.
Comment
Enter a note about the machine, using up to 31 characters.
Location
Enter the device location, using up to 32 characters.
Spool Printing
Select whether Spool Printing is active or inactive.
This appears only when Spool Printing is supported by the machine.
Note
- When "Active" is selected, you can select [Job] - [Printer] - [Spool Printing].
This displays the [Spool Printing Job List] page.
When "Inactive" is selected, the [Spool Printing] item does not appear on the [Job] page.
- Spool printing is active or inactive when you click [OK] on this page.
[Job] - [Printer] - [Spool Printing] is displayed or hidden when the Web browser restarts after the setting is applied.
Protect Printer Display Panel
Select whether to restrict access from the printer control panel, and if yes, select a protection level.
If protection is enabled, changing control panel items is not possible.
This appears only when printer function is supported by the machine.
Note

When [Level 1] or [Level 2] is selected, the same status as when [Menu Protect] is set to [Level 1] or [Level 2] during the device's initial printer settings, is set.
However, the access code must be set during the device's initial system settings.

For details about setting [Menu Protect], see the printer operating instructions.
- This item appears only when you are logged on as Machine Administrator.
Print Priority
Select the priority job type for the machine.
For example, if there is a job submitted from the copier function using the machine's control panel and a job sent from a client computer, the client computer's job is printed first if [Printer] is selected for [Print Priority].
Note
- [Copier/Document Server], [Fax], or [Printer] appears only if the machine supports these functions.
- This is displayed only if/when supported by the machine.
Display Mode
Gives priority to jobs submitted using the mode selected on the machine's control panel.
Interleave
Gives priority to jobs submitted using the Interrupt function.
If [Interleave] is selected, the current print job is interrupted after printing maximum of five sheets.
Job Order
No priority setting. Jobs are printed in the order they were submitted.
Copier/Document Server
Gives priority to jobs submitted using the copier function and jobs submitted from the machine's Document Server.
Fax
Gives priority to jobs submitted using the fax function.
Printer
Gives priority to jobs submitted using the printer function.
Permit Firmware Update
Select whether firmware update is active or inactive.
Note
- When "Active" is selected, you can select [Configuration] - [Device Settings] - [Firmware Update].
This displays the [Firmware Update] page.
When "Inactive" is selected, the [Firmware Update] item does not appear on the [Configuration] page.
Also, firmware update via FTP or the device's control panel is no longer possible.
- This is displayed only if/when supported by the machine.
Permit Firmware Structure Change
Select whether changing of firmware structure is active or inactive.
Display IP Address on Device Display Panel
Select whether to display the device IP address on its control panel.
Note
- The IP address display position or order on the control panel varies depending on the device model.
- This is displayed only if/when supported by the machine.
Output Tray
Select the output tray for each function.
Note
- Available output trays depend on machine type or options installed.
- The output tray selection for individual functions does not appear if the machine has only one tray installed.
Copier
Select the output tray you want to use for the copier function.
Fax
Select the output tray you want to use for the fax function.
Printer
Select the output tray you want to use for the printer function.
Document Server
Select the output tray you want to use for the Document Server function.
Paper Tray Priority
Select the priority tray for each function.
"Paper Tray Priority" is the tray selected immediately after the printer is turned on, and when Auto Select is chosen as the paper source in a job.

- Available output trays depend on machine type or options installed.
Copier
Select the priority tray you want to use for the copier function.
Fax
Select the priority tray you want to use for the fax function.
Printer
Select the priority tray you want to use for the printer function.
Cover Sheet Tray
[Cover Sheet Tray] is displayed only if the machine has a cover sheet function.
Tray to set
Select whether to set the cover sheet tray.
When setting the cover sheet tray, first select the paper tray you want to use for cover sheet.
Note
- Available paper trays depend on machine type or options installed.
- When [None] is selected in the [Tray to set] list, settings made for [Apply Duplex] and [Display Time] are disabled.
Apply Duplex
Select the tray to use for duplex printing.
Even if [On] is selected in the list, the tray may not be suitable for duplex printing, depending on the type and thickness of the paper that is loaded in it.
Note
- This setting is enabled only when [At mode selected] is selected for [Display Time].
If [Full time] is selected for [Display Time], the setting in [Apply Duplex] on the [Configuration: Device Settings: Paper] page is used.
Display Time
Select when the cover sheet tray should be shown in the copy function screen on the machine's control panel.
At Mode Selected
The cover sheet indication appears on the tray item when the cover sheet function is selected.
Full Time
The cover sheet tray indication always appears on the tray item.
Slip Sheet Tray
[Slip Sheet Tray] is displayed only if the machine has a slip sheet function.
Tray to set
Select whether to set the slip sheet tray.
When setting the slip sheet tray, first select the paper tray you want to use for slip sheet.
Note
- Available paper trays depend on machine type or options installed.
- When [None] is selected in the [Tray to set] list, settings made for [Apply Duplex] and [Display Time] are disabled.
Apply Duplex
Select the tray to use for duplex printing.
Even if [On] is selected in the list, the tray may not be suitable for duplex printing, depending on the type and thickness of the paper that is loaded in it.
Note
- This setting is enabled only when [At mode selected] is selected for [Display Time].
If [Full time] is selected for [Display Time], the setting in [Apply Duplex] on the [Configuration: Device Settings: Paper] page is used.
Display Time
Select when the slip sheet tray should be shown in the copy function screen on the machine's control panel.
At Mode Selected
The slip sheet indication appears on the tray item when the slip sheet function is selected.
Full Time
The slip sheet tray indication always appears on the tray item.

Click to update the currently displayed information.

- Before making the settings, click [Refresh] to obtain the machine's current status.
[OK]
Click to apply the settings.
[Cancel]
Click to cancel the settings.
[Back]
Click to return to the [Configuration] page.

- The [Back] button appears only if the user has the R (read-only) privilege.
