Custom Paper

You can apply the settings of a custom paper that is already registered on the [Custom Paper] page.

Manually configure the settings of the paper specified for the input tray, using the settings under [Tray Paper Settings].

Recall Custom Paper

If you specify [Custom Paper] for [Select Tray Paper Settings], you must then specify a custom paper in the list to apply its settings. To view the settings of a registered custom paper, click [Check Modes].

Tray Paper Settings

If you specify [Tray Paper Settings] for [Select Tray Paper Settings], you must then specify the following settings manually for the paper loaded in the input tray:

Paper Size

In the [Paper Size] list, select the size of paper loaded in the input tray.
When [Custom Size] is selected, also select an appropriate option in the [Custom Paper Size] box.

Note

  • Available values depend on machine type and paper tray.

Custom Paper Size

Enter the custom paper size when [Custom Size] is selected.
Enter the length of the paper's short and long edges, in the [Portrait] and [Landscape] boxes respectively, in the units set on the machine (inch or mm).

Note

  • Available paper sizes vary depending on the paper tray. For details about setting the paper size, see the printer operating instructions.
  • This appears only for trays on which [Custom Size] can be set as the paper size.

Paper Type

Select the paper type in the box.

Note

  • Available options vary depending on machine and paper tray.
  • This item appears only for paper trays where users can select paper type.

Paper Weight

Select the paper weight from the drop down menu.

Note

  • Available values depend on machine type and paper tray.
  • This item appears only for paper trays where users can select paper type and weight.

Apply Auto Paper Select

Select to use the tray when Auto Select is chosen as the paper source.
When [On] is selected, the tray is automatically selected according to the job settings.
When [Off] is selected, the tray is not used even if the size and type of paper loaded in the tray matches the job settings. This option can be used to prevent paper loaded in the tray, such as high quality paper and special paper, automatically feeding.

Note

  • This item may not appear depending on machine configuration.

Apply Duplex

Select whether to use the tray for duplex printing.
Even if [On] is selected, the tray may not be suitable for duplex printing, depending on the type and thickness of the paper that is loaded in it.

Note

  • This appears only when a duplex unit is installed.
