Use this page to make settings for LDAP Authentication.
Note
- To use LDAP authentication, the LDAP server and machine must be connected on the same network and the LDAP server must be registered on the machine. To register the LDAP server, use the [Configuration: Device Settings: LDAP Server] page.
LDAP Authentication Settings
LDAP Authentication
Select the LDAP server used for User Authentication.
Login Name Attribute
Enter the login name attribute (user name attribute), using up to 32 alphanumeric characters.
A typical attribute may be "cn" or "uid".
When the data of the LDAP-authenticated user is automatically registered to the Address Book on the device, information is searched for the user's e-mail address and other data for the Address Book.
The search filter for finding the data is created using the login name (user name) used for authenticating the user.
The login name attribute specified here is used as data for creating this search filter.
Unique Attribute
Enter the attribute for uniquely identifying the user, using up to 32 alphanumeric characters.
When the data of the LDAP-authenticated user is automatically registered to the Address Book, this attribute information can also be registered. This unique attribute is used for identifying the user at the subsequent authentication.
Available Function
Select the check boxes of the functions that you want to allow to the user.
Note
- When an authenticated user is first registered to the Address Book, the following settings are displayed by default in [Available functions]:
Copier: Black & White
Select whether User Authentication is required for black and white copying.
Copier: Single Color
Select whether User Authentication is required for single color copying.
Copier: Two-color
Select whether User Authentication is required for two-color copying.
Copier: Full Color
Select whether User Authentication is required for full color copying.
Color Copy Mode Limitation: Limit to Auto Color Selection
Enable or disable limiting color copying automatically to "Auto Color Selection".
Color Copy Mode Limitation: Full Color / Auto Color Selection
Enable or disable limiting color copying automatically to "Full Color" or "Auto Color Selection".
Other Function(s): Document Server
Select whether User Authentication is required for Document Server operations.
Other Function(s): Scanner
Select whether User Authentication is required for scanner functions.
Buttons
[Refresh]
Click to update the currently displayed information.
Note
- Before making the settings, click [Refresh] to obtain the machine's current status.
[OK]
Click to apply the settings.
[Cancel]
Click to cancel the settings.
