On-demand E-mail Notification
Configuration > Device Settings > On-demand E-mail Notification

You can check the current device settings and device status by e-mail. Create an e-mail message in the defined format and send it to the device, then you will receive a return e-mail showing device settings and other relevant information.

Note

• To use the On-demand E-mail Notification function, you must use an e-mail address registered on this page or an address belonging to the registered domain name.
• Settings on this page can be changed by the following Administrator:
  • Machine Administrator

Notification Subject

Enter a text string to be added to the subject line of return e-mails.
A return e-mail subject begins with the text entered in [Notification Subject], followed by the subject of the e-mail sent from a user.
Up to 32 characters can be entered.

Notification Message

Enter a text message to be included in return e-mails. Up to 256 alphanumeric characters can be entered.
You can enter any message according to your needs, for example, the machine's location or service representative contact information.

• This setting is reflected in the [Notification Message] box on the [Configuration: Device Settings: Auto E-mail Notification] page.

Access Restriction to Information

Select whether to restrict accesses based on a specific category of information (for example, device settings or device status).
If [On] is selected, return e-mails are not given to the sender requesting the specified information.
If [Off] is selected, return e-mails are given in response to requests for the specified information.

Receivable E-mail Address/Domain Name Settings

Receivable E-mail Address/Domain Name

Enter an e-mail address or domain name to use for requesting information by e-mail and to receive its return e-mail.
Up to 10 addresses/domains can be registered, using up to 128 alphanumeric characters each.
If an e-mail address is registered, an e-mail is returned in response to a request sent from the address.
If a domain name is registered, an e-mail is returned in response to requests sent from addresses belonging to the domain.
This is illustrated in the following table:

E-mail Language

Select a language for e-mail messages sent from the device.

Note

• Available languages depend on device type.
• Available languages depend on the Web Image Monitor language setting. The Web Image Monitor language setting can be changed on the [Configuration: Webpage] page.

Click to update the currently displayed information.

Note

• Before making the settings, click [Refresh] to obtain the machine's current status.

[OK]

Click to apply the settings.

[Cancel]

Click to cancel the settings.
