After Help is downloaded, the Table of Contents Help can be displayed by setting the location of the Help files as this button's address link (URL).
Note
The link address of the [Help] button can be set using the [Configuration: Webpage] page (only when you are logged on as Administrator).
Ask the network administrator for details about setting link addresses.
Languages that appear in the language selection list can be changed using the [Configuration: Webpage] page (only when you are logged on as Administrator).
Logging On [To Top]
To change device settings, click [Login] in the menu area to log on to the device. Only predefined user roles ("Administrator" and "Supervisor") are allowed to log on to the device. Available Web Image Monitor operations differ between before and after logging on as Administrator or Supervisor.
Before logging on
Immediately after connecting to the device via a Web browser, the [Login] button is displayed in the menu area.
In this status (before logging on), you can check device status, device settings, or job status displayed on the Web Image Monitor pages. If the Locked & Sample Print function is enabled, you can also print or delete jobs displayed in the list of Sample and Locked print jobs.
However, you cannot change device settings.
When logging on as Administrator
To log on to the device as Administrator, click the [Login] button in the menu area, and then enter the user name and password of Administrator.
When logged on as Administrator, the user can change device settings as well as check device status, device settings, or job status.
When logging on as Supervisor
To log on to the device as Supervisor, click the [Login] button in the menu area, and then enter the user name and password of Supervisor.
When logged on as Supervisor, the user can change or delete the Administrator or Supervisor password on the [Configuration: Device Settings: Program/Change Administrator] page.
Supervisor is responsible for changing the password as needed; s/he cannot perform any other operation. A password is required for managing the device. For example, in case the Administrator should lose his/her password, it would become impossible to log on to the device to change its settings. Supervisor is provided to address this problem. As the Supervisor has the right to change the Administrator password, the Administrator is still able to change device settings.
Note

When you are logged on to the device as Administrator or Supervisor, the [Login] button turns into the [Logout] button. When you finish operations, be sure to click [Logout] to log off.

Some Web browsers permit data caching while you use Web Image Monitor, which may cause data leakage. When using Web Image Monitor on a computer that multiple users have access to, we recommend that you log off and clear cached files after finishing operations and quitting Web browsers that may be running to prevent data leakage or third party tampering.

Logon settings for Administrator or Supervisor are specified on the [Configuration: Device Settings: Program/Change Administrator] page.
When you are logged on as Administrator, you can change the Administrator's user name and password.
When you are logged on as Supervisor, you can change the Supervisor's user name and password, as well as the Administrator's password.
