A transmission rate of 300 Mbps is a theoretical value of the wireless LAN specification.
The maximum transmission rate in the ad-hoc mode is 54 Mbps for IEEE802.11a and 11 Mbps for IEEE802.11b. The Ad-hoc communication is not supported in an IEEE802.11g/n environment.
The channel in use might differ depending on the country.
