Directional Magnification (%)

Specify the horizontal and vertical reproduction ratios, individually.

Copies can be reduced or enlarged at different reproduction ratios horizontally and vertically.

To specify a reproduction ratio, enter the ratio using the number keys or specify the ratio with [Plus] or [Minus].

This section describes how to enter the ratio using the number keys.

1Press [Reduce / Enlarge].

2Press [Direct. Mag. %].

3Press [Horizontal].

4Enter the desired ratio with the number keys, and then press [Sharp].

5Press [Vertical].

6Enter the desired ratio with the number keys, and then press [Sharp].

7Press [OK] twice.

Note

  • The reproduction ratio is between 25 and 400%. However, if the originals are placed in the ADF, the maximum reproduction ratio is 200%. To copy originals at a reproduction ratio above 200%, you must place them on the exposure glass.

  • When specifying the ratio with [Plus] or [Minus], press [Direct. Mag. %], and then press [[Plus][Minus] keys]. Pressing [Plus] or [Minus] after selecting [Horizontal] or [Vertical] changes the ratio in increments of 1%. Pressing and holding down [Plus] or [Minus] changes it in increments of 10%.

  • When entering a percentage ratio, you can specify any value in the permitted range, regardless of original or copy paper size. However, depending on settings and other conditions, part of the image may not be copied, or margins will appear on copies.
